Sourdough
Day 5, this week was the last day of feeding our sourdough culture. We planned to bake our sourdough in the pizza oven on Wednesday this week but it rained, which was great for our farmers and the drought! So Mr McDonald kindly did this for us today and we have a lovely loaf to take home to share with our families. We have been writing down a observation of the culture, comparing and recording the results over the days. It took quite a lot of feeding before we could make our bread but it was lots of fun and quite smelly too!
Mindfulness
Every Tuesday afternoon Mrs Bourke comes in to teach us mindfulness. This week we tried beditation, 7/11 and FOFBOC which stands for feet on floor body on chair. For beditation we had to clear the tables and lie down on the floor. It was very relaxing and calming.
Poster Competitions
This week our most of our class completed and entered two poster competitions.
Essential Energy made up a competition were we would draw a poster of how to keep with electricity. Everyone's a winner if you submit a poster no matter what.
As part of Fruit and Veggie Month, we also has the opportunity to design the new range of Coles reusable shopping bags and win fantastic prizes.
These shopping bags are great for the environment because they can be used over and over again. A win Win for our environment!
Good Luck to all of our participants!!!
Fruit and Veg Month
Fruit and Veg month was so much fun! At this weeks assembly every class sang a fruit and veg rendition of ‘the 13 days of fruit and vegtember’. Our class performed ‘11 Cherries Chomping’! The song is something that we should to in years to come. The class really enjoyed the month and it was definitely one the best months of the year.
Have a safe holiday everyone and see you all back next Term!!!!
